This is a 24 x 24 Oil and Cold Wax piece created on a cradled wood board. Cold Wax and Oil is a technique where Cold Wax is mixed with oil paint. The Cold Wax gives the paint a creamy texture that can be scraped back and reapplied over and over. This technique leaves a lot of room for experimenting with many layers of paint.
This painting is on a 1 5/8 deep cradled board so does not need to be framed.
