This original painting was painted from life. I was very attracted by the reflections it created at night in the windows of our sunroom . So decided to paint it as a nocturne in low light. The dance of colours against the vase and in the window were a pleasure to paint. The whole arrangement lended itself so well to the painterly approach I love to use.
